The Holdmans left Kent, England for the United States in 1998, when Peter Holdman was working in the semiconductor industry. They settled in Melbourne, Florida for 13 years before a new job brought the couple to Colorado Springs in May 2012. Susan Holdman had always wanted to own a shop of her own and decided that Old Colorado City would be the perfect area. She has experience in gift shops back east plus awards for volunteering in the local hospital. Peter's maternal grandfather opened his own shop after serving in the war. The name of the store was inspired by their dog Willy, who is named after Prince William. The chihuahua will spend his days at the store greeting customers & being the official mascot.
